These are some of the craziest, fun, inspiring people I know!! Turning what could have been a 15 minute walk into an hour, playing with shadow pictures, looking at the sky, rolling down a hill, smelling roses, and being silly! I love us! xoxo

Oh happy day, oh library day, oh happy, happy day! We scored and there was a tech fair! Thomas got to see a homemade 3D printer and talk to the creator and work with Don of Reno Collective to learn to some Ruby coding! Oh what a happy boy!

Lillian and Camilla October 2021 Date Day
A drive to pick out a dessert cookie for Lillian.
Followed by a walk at one of our favorite spots. We got to see a fire rainbow, enjoy a beautiful, serene walk, ending with walking through the crunchy leaves.
Then a stop to pick up Noble Pie Parlor fries for Lillian.

Got to sub in Stillwater today. After reading the virtue card affirmation this morning, I had them repeat this with me 3 times. Usually there’s lots of chatter to accompany morning work period. However, this time it was interestingly completely quiet for almost the entire morning. WOW!

Team Member T and L got to have a sleep over at The Romano Casa tonight! They are getting ready to watch a movie now! Gonna miss my other team members tonight. Been a long time since we were apart on a Saturday night. However, I plan to thoroughly enjoy my time alone! And we will have our movie night tomorrow night! YAY!

Straight from the garden cucumbers, tomatoes and onions … Fresh peaches, nectarines, cherries and homemade fruit leather and even a special spicy fruit leather for Team Member C … Spicy Peach Chutney!! AND homemade raw tomato and herb juice (that will be so darn yummy in an adult beverage later this afternoon!!) You bless my heart to pieces Kimberly Phipps-Nichol!!! Found these two angels sitting next to the computer as I was turning the lights out for bed. Asked Lillian if she put them there and she told me yes and that they were giving her ideas! Turns out they indeed were …. (I think I may have some angel bears sitting next to my computer tomorrow!)

Lila had thought her name was Lil and she was surprised to see that she could talk to animals.Then one day a stranger named Frank who is actually King of where she used to live. He wanted her to come but her animal friends wanted her to stay. Then she remembered her name was Lila for short because her real name was Liliana. Then she met her mother then after they had reunited and then Frank and Lila got married and lived happily ever after.

We started the celebration this morning with opening gifts. Happy 20th Birthday to Lillian Darnell!!!! An iPad and case from me, The Romano Duo, Grandpa Robert, and herself (it was a team effort), a great new shower curtain and sparkly curtain rings from The Romano Duo, a photo book with 2016 photos (in the mail, on the way here) scissors, and a rainbow crystal from me, and a card from Thomas.
Join us and help Lillian celebrate her 20th birthday! I remember having dinner with the Miller family at the Colorado C18 Conference. Matt said that Team TLC would make a great reality TV show, or something like that. Proof of that right near the beginning of Lillian’s live birthday event, via Thomas and an event he was supposed to be attending.
After the gifts, it was pool time! Happy 20th birthday Lillian Darnell!
After pool time, it was back to our place for cupcakes and cheesecake. 🎉❤️😋😋😋❤️🎉 Always lots of photos of blowing out the candles as it wasn’t until 2012 (I think) that Lillian was able to blow out candles.
We ended the Lillian Darnell 20th birthday celebrations with favorite fries to go along with dinner, a drive for a favorite dessert, and then a night time walk.
Thought I’d share something tangible to show the importance of the research that the Chromosome 18 Research Society performs. Lillian is one of those pink bars in the first image. We don’t just get general information having to do with Lillian’s deletion, we get specific information because of the research performed, and the families who have donated blood to be studied, completed questionnaires, and the sharing of information.
Lillian likes to have a birthday fundraiser for our beloved C18 every year. I can also send an email to someone at the Research Society with this question, and receive an answer back within 24 to 48 hours (usually faster) … “I’m watching the Gene Dosage Map #1 Youtube video on the website. I’m trying to find the exact molecular coordinates for Lillian’s deletion. Was that something that was determined as being a part of the study?” Pretty amazing, huh? I’m headed to bed now. I’m tired!

‘Twas time for a little adventure so we went all the way to California this afternoon! Boca Reservoir. First time visiting there for all of us. Collected bunches of beautiful rocks for painting.
Got all wild n crazy and went across the state line! So much fun collecting rocks, taking pictures, throwing rocks in the water, and taking Rosey for a spin in the dirt! Plus, we got some cool rocks for painting now!
